This morning you will be collected from the lodge and transferred to the waterfalls. Visiting Victoria Falls is truly an awe-inspiring experience – the sight, the sound, the smell; that humbling feeling that you are witnessing one of nature's supreme masterpieces. No photograph can begin to depict reality and nothing prepares you for your first sight.
The tour is conducted in the morning (approximately 3 hours). En route, you may be taken past the ‘Big Tree’, where you may stop and take photos. You will be accompanied through the rainforest by a qualified guide who will give a brief history of the falls, as well as detailing the flora, fauna, birds, wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist travellers with photographs whilst visiting the most spectacular of waterfalls. Raincoats are also provided when required. After the tour, return to the lodge.
In the late afternoon, you will be picked up and transferred to the jetty for an exciting Zambezi Sundowner Cruise. The Zambezi Sunset Cruise is a superb way to relax and enjoy the spectacular beauty of the Zambezi River. Keep your eyes peeled to spot the variety of game; including hippo, crocodile and elephants, as well as the many different bird species. The cruise includes finger snacks, beer, wine, local spirits and soft drinks.

A Chobe Day Trip is the ideal opportunity to experience the amazing fauna and flora that Africa has to offer, with the world-renowned ‘Chobe National Park’ only a mere 80 kilometres away. Chobe National Park is well known for its large herds of elephants that frequently visit the Chobe River on a daily basis. In the dry season, an estimate of up to 85,000 elephants can be dispersed within the Chobe National Park, where the majority of them can be found along the river. Apart from the herds of elephants, Chobe also has lots more to offer. The Park has lion, leopard, buffalo and a whole host of antelope like sable, puku, kudu, eland, roan and many others. The river is filled with big pods of hippos and some of the biggest crocodiles in Africa.

This morning after breakfast you will be picked up at 06:00 and transferred to Pretoria, (approximately 160 kilometres). After a welcome reception in Pretoria, board the train where you will begin your luxury three-night rail experience on board the famous Rovos Rail ‘Pride of Africa’ train, boarding will begin at 09:30.
Guests need to be at the station no later than 8:00am, please ensure that all baggage is accounted for, as there will not be time to turn around for missing luggage.
The Rovos Rail company operates two restored classic trains, each with 20 renovated original coaches; some from before the 1920s! Return to the train at around 12.30 and enjoy lunch in the dining cars. Continue west onwards to Matjiesfontein this evening.

Over millions of years, volcanic matter was ground down and deposited as silt upon the seabed to form what geologists call the Karoo system.
After lunch, there is a chance for you to disembark the train at Whitehill Siding and walk the 5 kilometres into Matjiesfontein. A member of staff will accompany the group. Disembark at Matjiesfontein for an opportunity to stroll through the historic village. Of special interest is the museum on the platform and a collection of historic cars and railway carriages to the right of the Lord Milner Hotel.

This optional tour is a geographical and cultural extravaganza, showing you Cape Town, from its historical beginnings to the dazzling, modern city it is today. The tour commences with a visit to Table Mountain (weather permitting; cable car fee not included). Enjoy panoramic views over the Mother City and Robben Island in the distance lying sleepily in Table Bay harbour. In the heart of the city enjoy a short walk through the Company Gardens. From squirrels to a variety of plant life, it’s just a happy place to soak up some ‘Cape Town vibes’ and enjoy the aviaries and fishponds.
On the Wale Street end of the garden you will find a monument which was created to commemorate the life and work of Desmond Tutu – lovingly referred to by South Africans as “The Arch” and a tribute to the values of the South African Constitution. Arch for Arch was installed beside historic St. Georges Cathedral aka “People’s Cathedral” for its role in the resistance against apartheid. Step inside the Slave Lodge which explores the history of these unwilling immigrants and how they have contributed to the richness and diversity of South African history. As you drive through the city you shall get a feel for the cultural melting pot that it is. End the tour with a stop at Truth Café, a ‘steampunk inspired’ artisan coffee shop serving all hand-roasted coffees in a vintage cast-iron drum (any meals for own account). Return to your hotel upon completion of the tour where you may enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

This awe-inspiring tour (approximately 9 hours) to the towering headland known as Cape Point encompasses magnificent beaches, breathtaking views, and picturesque coastal villages. The Cape Peninsula is one of the world's most scenic areas and stretches from the city centre all the way to Cape Point. In Simon’s Town you will stop for the chance to see penguins and enjoy some lunch (not included). On the way back you will also visit the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. Note: The drive via Chapman's Peak is subject to the road being open. Ou Kaapse Weg (mountain pass in Cape Town) will be used as an alternative route when necessary.

This morning after breakfast depart on a full day Cape Winelands Tour. This delightful drive winds its way to the heart of the Cape Winelands, through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads. Head to the heart of South Africa’s wine industry, Stellenbosch. Beautiful and culturally rich, the region is steeped in South African history. Walk down the canal-lined avenues, in the shade of giant oak trees and beautifully preserved historic buildings. Enjoy the first wine tasting of the day at the Waterford Estate or similar.
Travel over the Helshoogte Pass to the town of Franschhoek, historically dating back to the 17th century when the French Huguenots arrived. Billed as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa, this charming town in a most picturesque valley retains a French Huguenot style. Enjoy a wine tasting before enjoying the fabled culinary skills of the Franschhoek chefs at one of the many award winning restaurants (lunch is not included). Onward to Paarl, one of the Cape’s first farming districts. The town is set at the foot of the cluster of remarkable granite domes from which it takes its name. The last stop for the day is at a wine estate on the Paarl wine route. Return to the bustle of city life after an enthralling day in the countryside, arriving back at the hotel early evening.

Stellenbosch is a university town in South Africa's Western Cape province. It's surrounded by the vineyards of the Cape Winelands and the mountainous nature reserves of Jonkershoek and Simonsberg. The town's oak-shaded streets are lined with cafes, boutiques and art galleries. Cape Dutch architecture gives a sense of South Africa's Dutch colonial history, as do the Village Museum's period houses and gardens.
If there's one thing that Stellenbosch is renowned for, it’s wine. There are hundreds of estates scattered around the outskirts of the town, many of which produce world-class wines.
