Upon arrival, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in Rome. This iconic city offers so much more than a simple tourist experience so make the most of it by immersing yourself in the exclusive pubs and jazz clubs, historic bars, theatres and museums to suit every passion and taste.

Following breakfast at your hotel this morning, you'll join a full-day guided tour of the Eternal City of Rome. With a local guide, you'll experience some of the richest historical landmarks in the world, starting with the spectacular Colosseum (entrance excluded). You'll then continue on to the Arch of Constantine, a monument dedicated to Emperor Constantine by the Senate and the people of Rome, before strolling amid the ruins of the Roman Forum (entrance excluded) which was once the centre of ancient political, commercial and legal life. Afterwards, you'll discover layers of Roman history on Palatine Hill where former emperors and influential figures once lived, before continuing to Baroque Rome to admire the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona Square.

After breakfast, your Italian journey continues as you set off on a guided day tour covering approximately 240 kilometres to the beautiful mediaeval city of Montepulciano. This is a reigning wine town and quintessential Tuscan vision with a mediaeval centre overlooking vineyards on its hilltop. Here you'll enjoy a tour of the historic cellars of the “La Citta Sotteranea” (underground city), where the evocative Gothic-Renaissance atmosphere thrives with passages, cool tunnels, hidden crypts and stone steps. In the numerous cellars that make up the path of the underground city, you will encounter oak barrels of various sizes as well as small fountains and two authentic Etruscan tombs. Enjoy a wine tasting of the famous Montepulciano wines before continuing your tour of the countryside to the small mediaeval city of Siena in the heart of Tuscany.
Here you'll take part in a guided tour of this preserved Italian town that was built around Piazza del Campo. The Cathedral Square is dominated by the stunning “Duomo” and is a masterpiece of Romanesque-Gothic architecture with breathtaking mosaic flooring. The beauty of Siena is best experienced by walking through its historic streets and relaxing at the outdoor cafes in the Piazza Del Campo. Afterwards, you'll check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

This morning you'll depart for the beautiful city of Florence which is bathed in architectural beauty, artistic charm and centuries of history. Upon arrival, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the “Cradle Of Renaissance” to see Piazza Duomo which is one of the most impressive constructions in Europe and better known as “Duomo”. You'll then admire Piazza della Signoria (Signoria Square) where copies of of Michelangelo’s David and Ponte Vecchio (“Old Bridge”) await. You can then enjoy the afternoon to yourself to explore at your own pace after an approximately 70-kilometre travel day.
If you’re an art-lover, no trip to this beautiful city is complete without a visit to Uffizi Gallery (entry not included) which is home to the largest collection of Renaissance art in the world. If you’re looking for some retail therapy, you’ll find it at the historic Ponte Vecchio, which is a mediaeval bridge that boasts authentic Italian jewellery shops and more.

After breakfast, you'll depart to La Spezia to board a train to Cinque Terre where a string of centuries-old seaside villages on the rugged Italian Riviera coastline await. Here you'll enjoy a full day to discover the beautiful villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Rio Maggiore and more. Soak up the unique atmosphere of this place and marvel at colourful houses and vineyards that cling to steep terraces, harbours that are filled with fishing boats and “trattorias” (typical restaurants) which boast seafood specialties along with the Liguria region’s famous sauce of pesto.
In the afternoon, you'll continue your visit to the famous city of Pisa to take part in a guided city tour. Pisa is distinguished above all by a remarkable group of buildings in the Piazza del Duomo, the so-called Square of Miracles which is located at the northwestern end of the mediaeval walled city. This piazza contains the cathedral as well as the baptistery, Campo Santo (cemetery) and the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. You can then enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure after an approximately 250-kilometre travel day.
