Salalah is the capital city of southern Oman's Dhofar province. It's known for its banana plantations, Arabian Sea beaches and waters teeming with marine life. The Khareef, an annual monsoon, transforms the desert terrain into a lush, green landscape and creates seasonal waterfalls. The Frankincense Land Museum, part of the Al Balid Archaeological Site, recounts the city’s maritime history and role in the spice trade.

In the morning the ship will arrive into Eilat, the southernmost city of Israel and the gateway to the Red Sea. Its beaches and resorts attract travellers from all over the world, drawn to the opportunities for scuba diving, swimming with dolphins, or camel tours of the Southern Negev Desert looking for traces of Eilat’s 10,000 years of settled history. The Coral Beach Nature Reserve and Coral World Underwater Observatory each give visitors an up-close look at the local sea life. Eilat is also on a major migration route for birds traveling between Africa and Europe, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. An overnight stop allows time for excursions to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea.

Aqaba - Jordan's Red Sea port and resort town - boasts ancient sites as well as spectacular coral reefs. It will, however, be Petra that will be yet another memorable highlight of this cruise. Named for the Greek word meaning "rock", Petra was a flourishing trade centre in ancient times and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site (not included).

You can discover the 2,000-year-old structures built into soaring salmon-pink sandstone on foot or horseback (not included). The Nabataeans, the civilisation that built Petra, also were expert hydraulic engineers, as evidenced by channels carved into the rock that prevented flood damage and helped store water during droughts. Archaeologists from all over the world continue to excavate the Hellenistic temples, tombs and theatres, as only one percent of the city is believed to have been “discovered".

The Suez Canal runs 100 miles between the sand dunes of the Sinai Peninsula and the Nile River delta. Entry to the canal's north end is at Port Said, and exit via the port of Safaga at the south end. As you make your way through the canal, it feels as if the ship is sailing across the sand.

TOUR GUIDE VS. TOUR LEADER
Tour Guide: 
Often locals with intimate knowledge of an area, its culture, and history. Their role entails providing commentary, routing the tour, and seeing that people have a good time. They are a licensed, qualified expert who supplies specific information on history, art, architecture and culture of the city/village/attraction in which he or she is guiding the tour. The guide meets the group at the required place and leaves the group at the end of the tour, they do not travel with the group. 
 
Tour Leader: 
An experienced person tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of tours, as well as providing practical support to passengers throughout the whole trip. Their role primarily includes assisting with accommodation, transportation between locations, and communication with tour guides in each stop. A tour leader may provide general guidance around a city or village, and offer information on the place visited on the bus, however they are not required to have specific knowledge on art, architecture, or history. They are not allowed to provide a guided tour or commentary of a city/village/attraction once there and if caught doing so, can be fined.

England:
April is a lovely time to travel to England, it is Spring with mild temps from 10 - 20 degrees. You will need a jacket in the evenings
 
France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia:
Temperatures are very pleasant in April, around 10-20 degrees. You will need a jacket for the evenings
 
Greece, Cyprus:
Temperatures are very pleasant in April, around 15-25 degrees
 
Oman, Israel, Jordan:
Temperatures are very pleasant in March/April, around 15-25 degrees
 
Mauritius/Seychelles:
April is a great time to visit with tropical weather, little rain and temperatures in the mid 20's.
 
FLIGHTS
Seat Selection & Frequent Flyer Points:
At TripADeal we do not arrange seat selection. It is important to highlight that some Airlines do not allow pre-selected seats. We strongly suggest you contact the Airline directly with seating allocation requirements and or arrive at the airport earlier to arrange your seating. While we do not add frequent flyer member details to bookings, you can do this directly with the Airline once you have your flight information.
 
Passport Validity:
Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase, or no later than 45 days prior to departure date. Failure to do so may result in cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.
 
CRUISE
Disembarkation:
- Begins approximately 2 hours after docking.
- Due to security reasons, all guests must be on board 2 hours before sailing.
- Itineraries are subject to change at any time without notice.
- Check your specific sailing for exact departure and arrival times. All times are local to the port.
 
Cruise Loyalty Discounts:
Please note: Travellers booked via TripADeal will not be entitled to receive any cruise line customer loyalty discounts. Similar to airline frequent flyer programs, this is outside of the TripADeal booking process. However, customers may contact the cruise line direct upon receiving their TripADeal travel documents to request any membership benefits they are entitled to. 
 
COACH TOUR
Meals:
Daily breakfast is included in the tour, for all other meals; lunches and dinners the tour leader (when available) will offer assistance with reservations, suggestions and directions to local restaurants. It is your responsibility to notify TripADeal of any dietary requests/requirements. Please note; we will do our best to meet your requests/requirements, however, cannot guarantee that we will always be able to.
 
Luggage:
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to luggage, you must carry your own luggage from the coach to the hotel room and back to the coach. The driver will assist with the uploading and off-loading of the luggage from the coach.
 
OTHER
Fitness Level Required / Mobility:
Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so unfortunately, our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile. 
Please note: A general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.
 
Yellow Fever:
A valid international certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever is required in many countries. You may need to present this on arrival at the airport or border crossing. Some countries will refuse entry if you are unable to present your certificate. It's also quite common for your home country to request a Yellow Fever certificate on your arrival back home.
 
It is your responsibility to check with your doctor well in advance of leaving home about the Yellow Fever requirements for the countries you'll be visiting.
 
Gratuities / Tipping:
Gratuities (tips) are not included in the tour price for services of the tour leader (when available) and driver throughout the tour. The recommended tip for the tour leader and driver is €5 (approx. $8.50 NZD) per person per day, which will be collected whilst on tour in England and Europe. Standard Gratuities of €270 (approx. $465 NZD) per person for the cruise are not included and are payable onboard. Additional gratuities are payable on selected services and items on board.
 
Sightseeing:
Please note: In the event entrance to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary will be adjusted to ensure you do not miss out on the experience. 
 
Shopping:
Shopping overseas can be a daunting and confusing experience, especially when there is a language barrier. Please be very cautious when foreign currencies and prices are involved. If paying by credit card, please pay close attention to the amount you are being charged and keep all of your receipts. 
 
Do not make any purchases you are not comfortable with or feel pressured into. If you are uncertain or need assistance with the language barrier, please seek assistance from your Tour Guide/Leader.

Europe :
A tourist visa is not required for Europe for stays up to 90 days if travelling on an New Zealand passport.
 
Mauritius:
A tourist visa is not required when travelling to Mauritius on a New Zealand passport. The Mauritian government provides visas on arrival free of charge to New Zealand passport holders. Visa and other entry and exit conditions (such as currency, customs and quarantine regulations) can change at short notice. Contact the nearest Embassy or Consulate of Mauritius prior to departure for the most up to date information. 
 
Immigration officials at port of entry require all visitors to Mauritius to provide accommodation details and proof of onwards travel (cruise ticket). Failure to do so may result in denial of entry to Mauritius.
 
If you are arriving in Mauritius from a country known to have malaria, you will receive a follow-up visit from the Mauritian Health Department and will be required to undertake a blood test to check for the malaria-causing parasite. If you are arriving from a country where yellow fever is endemic, evidence of a yellow fever vaccination is required.
 
Cruise:
For the cruise portion of the trip, only Oman and Jordan require a visa.
 
Oman:
A Tourist E-Visa for Oman is a strict requirement if travelling on an New Zealand Passport. Important: Please start arranging your visa at least 3 weeks prior to departure to account for any delays due to consulate operating hours. Jordan:
A tourist visa for Jordan is a strict requirement if travelling on an New Zealand passport. The tourist visa is available for purchase upon arrival.
 
Please note: Passengers who are not New Zealand citizens must check with the respective consulate or visa agency to determine what their visa requirements are and what personal identification is required. It is also important to note, some areas of employment such as journalism, government authorities and charity organisations may have additional restrictions in applying for Visas. This may in turn affect the type of application required.
